Speed Star Mode (スピードスターモード Supīdo Sutā Mōdo) is a new mode introduced in BlazBlue: Centralfiction. In this mode, the player has to defeat a set of computer-controlled opponents until the time runs out. The player’s character does not lose health from taking damage, but if the time runs out the player will get a Game Over.
This mode is divided into three courses, with different difficulty, number of opponents, and the initial time. There is also a chance of a bonus opponent appearing.
The player can gain a time bonus by performing the following actions:
- Entering Overdrive
- Executing Exceed Accel
- Entering Active Flow
- Dealing a certain amount of damage in a combo
- Not taking any damage for a certain period of time
