Mai Natsume has a special battle system, Variable Arts (ヴァリアブルアーツ,Variaburu Ātsu). This system allows her to perform follow-up attacks after normal attacks, by pressing A, B, or C. Unlike Revolver Action, Mai can use Variable Arts in the air, and the follow-ups are different from her regular normal attacks. Mai can still perform follow-up attacks, even if she whiffs. Variable Arts chain consists of three attacks.
